Carly Anderson

PDM - Southland Rugby

Carly Anderson has dedicated her career to supporting young people to thrive in both sport and life. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Otago and a Postgraduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching - qualifications that underpinned a 20-year career in the classroom, where she developed a strong foundation in education, mentoring, and youth development.

Since 2013, Carly has worked in athlete development with ILT Academy Southland. Over the past three years, she has also contributed to Southland Rugby as a Personal Development Manager, supporting Murihiku athletes within the high-performance rugby pathway. Her work focuses on building resilience and strengthening the off-field capabilities young players need to perform, grow, and succeed beyond the game.

Outside of work, Carly enjoys making the most of the mountains and lakes across the motu, spending time snow skiing and boating with her husband, Brendon, and their two daughters, Millie and Lottie.
