We exist because players stand together. Through collective strength and individual support, we ensure the right conditions are in place for sustained excellence.
This includes:
- Collective Bargaining - Negotiation and protection of entitlements under the Partnership Agreement
- Legal support - Guidance on contractual obligations and rights.
- Individual advocacy – Representation and support in misconduct processes, disputes or complex situations.
- RPA Accredited Agent model – Access to accredited agents who meet strict professional and integrity standards.
- Medical advocacy – Support in navigating medical care and accessing second opinions.
- Relocation and accommodation support – If you are having to move locations in order to play Super Rugby (Pacific & Aupiki), NZ Sevens and NPC you may be eligible for support.
- Anti-doping and anti-corruption guidance – Advice on supplement use, illicit drug policies and betting regulations.
- Policy protections – Parental leave, return-to-play protocols, travel provisions and welfare frameworks embedded within the professional system.
- Health (Medical), Trauma and Life Insurance – Comprehensive cover as part of your professional contract (NZR Contracts, Super Rugby Pacific, Super Rugby Aupiki and Provincial Union Contracts), including expert guidance.
- RPA Benevolent and Welfare Fund – Apply for financial assistance in cases of hardship or career-ending events.
- Commercial activity and content support – If you don’t have an agent, we are able to provide support and advice for commercial and content activities, including education on Personal Promotion Notifications (PPN) to ensure you are abiding by your employment obligations.
