Kaahuia Fuglistaller

Representation Advisor & Black Ferns PDM

In her role as Representation Advisor, Kaahuia Fuglistaller supports players to navigate the professional rugby landscape, providing advocacy and expertise across contracting, competitions, high-performance environments, partnership agreement compliance, and individual player matters.

With a background in education, wellbeing, and people development, Kaahuia brings a practical, values-led approach to representation. She holds a Bachelor of Education specialising in Physical Education and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning from the University of Canterbury, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Professional Development. Her earlier career as a secondary school teacher in physical education and health informs her people-first, development-focused approach.

Kaahuia has also worked extensively as a Personal Development Manager with Taranaki, the Chiefs Manawa, and the Black Ferns, and continues to support the Black Ferns in a PDM capacity, with a particular focus on advocating for female players.

Through experiencing the professional rugby environment in New Zealand, Australia, and Japan alongside her husband, Scott, Kaahuia brings a well-rounded understanding of the challenges faced by players and their families. Of Ngāti Ranginui descent, she lives in Taranaki with her husband and two boys.
